Looks like Rai has a little competition! And she's a poor loser too....


If I understand this correctly, Zoi (is it?) and Lei are high ranking officers and Rai is lower rank who's got the skills to be high ranking, but doesn't have the discipline. In other words, she's a little hot headed and rebellious.

"Once upon a time, there was a great knight who had very much skill. He often saved the lives of his comrades, but, unlike his comrades, he wasn't blood thirsty, savage or insane," he reads silently to himself.
A smile creeps up the corner of his mouth as his mind is entertained by a thought, "that comrade sounds like someone I know."
"His name was Roe the Great, husband to Pei and father to Lai," the book continued. "He was not called so because of his inumerous victories, unrivaled strength, or cunning strategic mind, which he all had in great supply, but rather because of how he governed the people under his care as General of the Sixth army of the Six flank. Many thought of him as the next king......"

Am I close?

You artwork is impecible and your character, as alwasy, comes to life!

lol wow I'm glad this could inspire you to write something so cool! :D you paint such a picture!
I would say you even captured a few things that are in the actual story (one being that Lai's father is an important person and he feels a lot of pressure from him)

I figured out what bugs me about this picture: After seeing her say goodnight, her teasing and what not, Ria seems way too nice here.... Like nomal nice! Scarry

I totally agree actually. These don't capture her personality at all! But I wanted more neutral poses for the turn-around since it is used as an animation reference for any pose.
